Our Easter

Our Easter day was both fun and casual. The whole family went over to my brother and sister in law's house for a cookout. The children all had their cousins and some friends to play with along with some aunts, uncles, and grandparents to love on. And of course, what would Easter be without an egg hunt!

A large chunk of today was spent at Grammie and Papa's house. At first, we had eggs on our mind.

Then we moved on to this...

 and this.

Did you guess a bulldozer? There just happen to be one sitting across the street from my parents' house.

Finally, a trip down to the creek.

Sarah's dictionary defines....

expensable: used to describe something that's both expensive and breakable
"I'm going to be very gentle with this doll. She's very expensable".

treatable: something worthy of being a treat, usually something sweet
"Mommy, I don't want those crackers to eat 'cause they're not treatable".

Anyone who knows Sarah well, knows she loves to talk. Evidently, she can't properly express herself with our standard English language. She has had to make up some of her own words!
What does Layton love?

 His Playmobil men!

Let's hear it for the boys! (and for the way he likes to line them all up!)

Layton!
Where are
 your
 shoes!
 What did
 you do
 with
 your
shoes!!!

I found myself saying this the other day. It doesn't make it easy to find shoes when they're not even in your yard, much less in your house!

Posh Kitty

And no, I didn't do this to our cat. Sarah did.

Some recent pictures

Layton's play dough snowmen

I wonder how much longer until he actually does climb over our fence?

Sarah with her cousin.

Who's little hand is this? My new nephew!

Gift giving is neither my love language or my husbands. So needless to say I was surprised when he brought these pretty things home to me one afternoon.
